Celebrating the end of high school and the start of the next chapter is one of my greatest joys — and it actually started long before I ever picked up a camera professionally.
Before building my photography business, I spent years teaching high school students. I’ve coached them through big dreams, hard choices, and everything in between. Those years taught me something important: Every teen has a story — and they deserve photos that reflect who they truly are.
Senior sessions are not about perfect poses or forced smiles. They’re about capturing their confidence, their quirks , their style, and this once-in-a-lifetime chapter before everything changes
I love getting to slow down, connect, laugh with them, and create images that help them see themselves the way the people who love them do.
Every senior is different — their energy, their style, their comfort level, their story — and your senior photography experience should reflect that. My process is simple, relaxed, and designed to help your teen feel confident, comfortable, and genuinely themselves in front of the camera. Here’s exactly what to expect from start to finish.
When should I book my senior session?
The earlier the better! I book a limited number of senior sessions each season, and golden hour timing shifts throughout the year, so spots fill up quickly — especially in the fall. If you're a junior hoping to shoot over the summer or early fall, I'd recommend reaching out in the spring to get on the calendar.
When do senior sessions take place?
All sessions are held at golden hour — that magical window of warm, glowing light in the hour before sunset. The exact time shifts with the seasons, so we'll confirm your session time closer to your date based on the sunset schedule.
Where will my session be held?
I work with a variety of beautiful locations across St. Louis, Chesterfield, Clayton, and beyond — from lush parks and nature trails to urban backdrops and architectural gems. During our planning process, we'll talk through your senior's personality and style and choose a location that feels like them.
How should my senior prepare for their session?
I make this part easy! Once you book, you'll receive my full styling guide with outfit tips, color recommendations, and everything you need to feel confident and prepared. We'll also connect beforehand to talk through location, props, and any ideas you want to incorporate.
How many outfits can my senior bring?
Your session includes up to three outfit changes, so we can show different sides of your senior's style — from casual to dressed up and everything in between.
How long does a session take? Sessions are 60 minutes. That's enough time to move through locations, switch outfits, and capture a variety of looks without feeling rushed.
When will we receive the photos?
Within one week of your session, you'll receive a proofing gallery of approximately 85 images. Once you make your selections, your final hand-edited images are delivered within three weeks.
How many photos do we get to keep?
Your package includes 25 hand-edited images delivered as high-resolution digital downloads in both color and black and white. You'll always have the option to upgrade to additional images or the full gallery — but never any obligation to do so.
